James Dallas Smith

James Dallas is an actor, musician, and writer of Six Nations Mohawk and Scottish heritage. He was born in Brantford, raised in Port Elgin and now happily resides in Toronto, ON with his lovely wife, beautiful cat and small, barbarian child.

He recently appeared in Daniel David Moses’ Almighty Voice and His Wife (directed by Jani Lauzon) at Soulpepper. Other credits include: Ipperwash (Blyth & Native Earth), Proof, Drawer Boy (Centaur), Our Town (Soulpepper), King Lear (Soulpepper), Hard Time For These Times (NAC), The Government Inspector (Soulpepper), Heart of a Distant Tribe (CIT/Equity Showcase), as well as five times at Native Earth’s Weesageechak Begins to Dance festival and 2 times at Driftwood Theatre’s Trafalgar 24.
