Jenn Forgie

Jenn Forgie is a professional actor, writer and coach of Métis, French, Scottish descent. Keith Barker’s play, This Is How We Got Here is very dear to her heart and she is honoured to be a storyteller in this production. Jenn has previously worked as an artist with Native Earth in multiple Weesageechak Begins to Dance Festivals and as a writer in their 2-year Animikiig Development Program for her new play, Seven Pieces. This is Jenn’s debut performance with The Shaw Festival.

Recent credits include Legislating Love ~ The Everett Klippert Story with Sage Theatre, contributing artist and writer for The Solitudes with Aluna Theatre, Alberta Queer Artists digital production of Legislating Love, the award-winning short film NEVER, Superman & Lois and various tv credits.

Jenn was an artist in Theatre Passe Muraille’s Buzz Development Program for 2020/2021 and is now an Artist In Residence with TPM for the next development stage of her play. As a new playwright Jenn participated in The Stratford Festival’s 2020 Script Incubator program and she was the 2020 recipient of the Cayle Chernin Award for Women in Theatre.
