Kat Horzempa is a world traveller and theatre aficionado. As director, producer, actor, and playwright, Kat spent two years teaching and producing theatre in Spain, including Friends, With Benefits, a play she co-wrote with L. E. Hines. Kat recently trained in General Management and Tour Coordination with Roseneath Theatre as a part of the Theatre Ontario and Ontario Arts Council Professional Theatre Training Program.

Kat holds an hon. BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Toronto and was a member of the Board of Directors for three not-for-profit theatre organizations. Kat was awarded a Thea for “Biggest Risk” for her work as director/co-producer of Anne-Marie Macdonald’s Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet). Also a singer/songwriter, Kat’s most recent project, KWAL, involved collaborating with musicians from the Netherlands, England and Spain.
